Maldives has been readmitted to Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA).

The Maldives was readmitted to CPA with a unanimous vote at the Commonwealth General Assembly ongoing in Canada.

The Maldives was first admitted into CPA in 2000. However, under former president Yameen Abdul Gayyoom's tenure, Maldives left CPA in 2016.

CPA is an organisation comprised of parliamentary groups of member countries. Founded in 1911 with six members, CPA currently boasts 55 members.
