Managing Director at Housing Development Corporation (HDC) Suhail Ahmed has retired from the position.
Suhail confirmed the news of his retirement to ONE Online on Wednesday morning. He noted that his retirement is effective tomorrow.
At the time of his retirement, he is aged 55.
HDC noted that while the company remains as one of the biggest SOEs, Suhail is someone who had filled in for various important roles at the company during the last four presidencies. They added that his contributions to the company are invaluable.
Suhail joined HDC in 2001 after a separate institution was formed to oversee the reclamation and development of Hulhumale'. He was in senior roles at HDC when the first 200 families had settled in the suburb.
He was also one of the key figures in the development of Hulhumale Phase II.
