Society for Maaungoodhoo Youth Linkage has installed solar powered streetlights in Sh. Maaungoodhoo through the 'BML Community Fund'.

The NGO installed 25 streetlights along the main roads of the island.

The NGO said that the island did not have streetlights prior to the project, and that the installation of lights would hopefully make the island a safe space for the community.

BML Community Fund is a program to empower NGOs to contribute to their communities through sustainable projects.
