Maldives has been added to Indonesia's special visa on-arrival for tourism list.
Minister of Foreign Affairs and President of UN General Assembly, Abdulla Shahid, said Maldivians will receive visa on arrival from Indonesia starting Thursday.
Apart from Maldives, Indonesia added Colombia and Monaco to the list of countries eligible for visa on arrival - rising the number of countries eligible for on arrival visas to 75.
The visa on arrival requirements include a passport validity of at least 6 months, a return flight ticket, proof of payment, and a Covid-19 vaccine certificate as per Indonesian authorities.
Indonesia's decision to add Maldives to the visa on arrival list is followed by President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih's request for the latter during his meeting with Indonesian Ambassador on June 17.
