Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) reveals the second phase of K. Himmafushi Harbour Development Project is well underway with overall 80% project progress.

MTCC said the installation of the harbour pavement is complete and the construction of revetment is ongoing with 90% completion.

Scope of work for the project include dredging and excavation operations of 14,300cbm for new harbour basin, construction of a 38m breakwater, a 248m revetment, 172m quay wall, and installation of navigational aids.

The project is valued at MVR 25.88 million.
