A dispute between two expatriates in B. Undoodhoo resulted in a stabbing on Thursday, leaving the injured man in serious condition.

Maldives Police Service (MPS) said they received report of the attack around 2157hrs on Thursday night.

MPS added that a 45-year-old expatriate was stabbed and is currently receiving medical attention in B. Atoll Hospital. MPS added the man is in critical condition following the stabbing.

B. Atoll Hospital Director, Mohamed Waheed, told 'One' that the expat had been brought to the hospital on Thursday night with multiple stab wounds.

The man has undergone a surgery and currently in recovery, Mohamed said.

MPS have arrested a 43-year-old expat over the attack and the incident is currently under investigation.
