Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) reveals that Memo Airport Development Project is well underway.

MTCC said that fire building plastering works, terminal building foundation works, and runway reclamation operations are ongoing at a rapid speed.

Scope of works for the project include reclamation operations of 14 hectares, costal protection operations of 1,812m, construction of a 1200m x 30m runway, taxiway, and apron.

The project is valued at MVR 243.9 million.
