Male' City Council has announced a two-hour vehicle ban from 1600-1800hrs on Saturday and Sunday on the occasion of Eid.

City Council said that vehicles that have been granted permission can operate during the hours.

The vehicle ban was proposed by the Council's Galolhu constituency member Reehan Nazim, and passed by unanimous vote from council members.

The Council has been implementing vehicle-free windows on Eid and other occasions for the past years.
