Former President Mohamed Nasheed has said that families are the pillar of development and that the government should assist Maldivian families.
President Nasheed said this while speaking at an event of Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP). He noted in his speech that the people of Maldives have been receiving social protection since his Presidency began in 2008.
He said that should there be any effort to promote development from this point at this time, MDP is well aware that the government should target development towards families and homes.
President Nasheed noted that the current administration of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih is the second government of Maldivian Democratic Party.
He said that President Solih would complete his campaign pledges from word to word through MDP’s Parliamentary Campaign policy, Agenda ‘19.
