Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdulla Shahid, has conducted discussions with the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Michelle Bachelet, on selecting a Maldivian Human Rights Advisor.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the talks were held with the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights during Minister Shahid’s ongoing visit to Geneva, Switzerland.
The Ministry has said that Foreign Minister Shahid had informed Michelle Bachelet on the current efforts by the government of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on protecting Human Rights.
Foreign Minister, Shahid is on a visit to Geneva, attending the 40th session of the Human Rights Council High level segment.
