Ministry of Economic Development has signed MOUs with Fenaka Corporation and Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) to conduct apprenticeship programs to increase employability through on-the-job training to individuals impacted by Covid-19.

The MOUs were signed at a ceremony held at Economic Ministry on Sunday.

MACL will train assistant technicians as part of the apprenticeship program in electrical, welding, and refrigeration fields.

Fenaka will provide training in water and sewerage operation, electrical wiring, and maintenance work.

Economic Ministry also signed MOUs with WAMCO, HDC, and MTCC last Thursday to join as partners in the apprenticeship program.

The apprenticeship program will be conducted until the end of the year.
