While six children were brought from Faafu Feeali with dengue fever, IGMH has reported that one of the children is now in critical condition and is to be taken abroad for further treatment.
Deputy CEO of Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH), Mohamed Mufeed reported to One Online that six children had been brought to the hospital last night with dengue fever. He said that two of the six children have now been discharged following treatment.
The Deputy CEO informed that while two of the children are currently receiving care in the wards, one of the children is receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). He noted that the condition of the child in ICU is critical at this time and that efforts are underway to send the patient abroad for further treatment.
The six children had been transported to Male’ City from Faafu Feeali last night at around 9:40 pm on the Sea Ambulance.
