Former Vice President, Dr. Mohamed Jameel Ahmed, has said that the outside inflence enter the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) and to the Judges from the parliament.

Talking of "Avas Hukuru" program, Dr. Jameel said that the current judicial system in the country has to be changed and the problems is rooted due to the political influence affecting the JSC and the judges of the courts.

Dr. Jameel said that while the judicial system is already in a poor state, MDP's Agenda 19 for the Parliament is going to make things worse.

MDP's Agenda 19 states that a Registrar appointed by the parliament to the judicial system will be empowered with more authority.

The former Vice President said that he wants to reform the judiciary by separating powers and preventing outside influence from entering the system.
