Dead body found in area where plane carrying Sala was suspected to have crashed

Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB), has reported that a dead body has been discovered in the area where the plane carrying Sala was believed to have crashed. The plane was carrying Cardiff City F.C’s Argentine player, Emiliano Sala when the plane had disappeared.

The aircraft had been enroute from Nantes to Cardiff carrying only the 28-year old Sala and the pilot on 21 January 2019.

AAIB has released a statement and announced that there is video footage showing a dead body as well as parts of a plane near the area the plane was suspected to have crashed.

While the work to locate the passengers on the plane had ceased as of last week, the search had resumed with the efforts of a “GoFundMe” page. The search had begun to then possibly locate bodies from the ocean after EUR 370,000 was raised by the page through the efforts of many.

While various parts of the plane carrying Cardiff City’s football player had been located on the shores of France, the plane had been found last Sunday.
