“MDP members have the most significant role at Parliament”

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has said that the Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) candidates are those with the most significant role at Parliament.

The President said this while speaking at the inauguration of MDP’s Parliamentary Agenda 2019 campaign event last night. He noted that MDP’s cooperation is integral to fully implementing the government manifesto.  

The President said that ensuring a government majority at Parliament is integral and as such, the most significant role can be carried out by MDP members.

He noted that the support of Parliament is integral to fulfilling pledges of this administration. He noted that Parliament is the most integral pillar for establishing national peace and progress. The President also added that the institution of Parliament is the backbone of the State.
