Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdulla Shahid, has returned following his visit to the United Kingdom capital, London.

While the Minister has departed to arrive in Male’, the visit to London took place from last Saturday until yesterday.

Various discussions and talks were conducted during Minister Shajud’s visit with London officials. AS such, talks were held with state ministers of the Commonwealth and United Nations.

The Ministry reported that Shahid discussed strengthening ties between Maldives and the United Kingdom during this visit.

Minister Shahid had also given a statement at the 29th Governing Council Meeting of the Community of Democracies yesterday. He had highlighted challenges posed in establishing a successful democracy in Maldives.
