The total number of COVID-19 cases has risen to 22,292 after another 145 people have tested positive for the illness.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) said that from 6 p.m. yesterday to 6 p.m. today, 131 people recovered from COVID-19 raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 19,773 with another 2,447 people still in treatment. HPA statistics show 167 people being treated in hospitals.
In the same time frame, 145 people have tested positive that includes 145 people in Male' area, 21 from the atolls and 14 from the resorts, five from safari vessels and one person from a resort under development.
So far, there have been 65 COVID-related fatalities in the Maldives that includes 58 locals, six Bangladeshi nationals and a Philippine national.
