Bank of Maldives PLC has announced the donation of educational tools to aid Special Educational Need (SEN) students at ten schools.

The bank said that the educational tools donated will aid more than 400 students to develop their individual abilities to positively impact the learning and development in an inclusive environment.

BML made the donation to Haa Alifu Atoll Education Centre, Haa Dhaalu Atoll Education Centre, Lhaviyani Atoll Education Centre, Kaafu Atoll School, Mathiveri School and Fenfushi School in Alifu Alifu Atoll along with the Dhaalu Atoll Education Centre, Laamu Atoll Education Centre, Mohamed Jamaluddin School and Seenu Atoll Education Centre.

A statement issued by the bank said that a key focus of the bank’s CSR strategy includes supporting people with disabilities and as part of this initiative, educational tools were donated to ten islands last year to support students in SEN classes.

Last year, BML has also donated 65 wheelchairs to enhance the lives of people with mobility impairments.
