China has begun growing plants on the Moon.

While China has been exploring the "dark" side of the moon, the decision has been taken to conduct biological experiments.

The People's Daily, China has taken to twitter to announce the initial experiment by China National Space Administration, a success.

While the cotton seed experiments have been declared a success, Chinaކ has announced further plans to grow potatos on the moon. The mission has sent various easy-to-grow simple plants to the moon as part of the experimental growth.

The experiment will reportedly be conducted over the next 100 days.
