Prosecutor General's Office has revealed that police has submitted the alleged safari rape case where a Kenyan woman was assaulted, to press charged against three.

Police revealed that they have been holding discussions with the PG Office regarding the case and that after having amended the documents as per suggestions, they have finally submitted the documents to the PG office early this month. However, they did not reveal any further details.

PG Office Spokesperson and Public Prosecutor Ahmed Shafeeu told "One" that upon receiving the case regarding three people involved in the case, they have accepted the case based on the evidence provided. Further discussions will be held regarding sending the case to the court.

Details of the three people were however not disclosed by any.

After the case surfaced on June 26, police initially arrested the two men alleged of committing the crime only to release them later causing protests and massive public outrage.

However, Police defended the move by stating that their release would not hamper the investigation and was the best way to carry out the investigation.
