MacKenzie Bezos to become world's richest woman following the divorce with Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos. The divorce may result in major finances coming Mackenzie's way due to the lack of a prenuptial agreement.

Jeff and Mackenzie Bezos filed for divorce after 25 ywars of marriage and were said to be the wealthiest couple in the world.

TMZ reported that the former couple had assets worth $140 billion under their belt. While the couple announced their split and released statements on twitter, the public debate on the future of their $140 billion assets are divided.

The former couple's attorney has however said that, due to a lack of a prenuptial agreement, the assets will be divided in half following the divorce. MacKenzie will therefore become the world's wealthiest woman.

The current richest woman in the world is L'oreal Cosmetics heiress, 65-year old Françoise Bettencourt Meyers.

Jeff and McKenzie Bezos married in 1993 and have a family of four children.
