Adaalath Party has said that they have not touched or gain a benefit from the money or any goods connects to the corruption of Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC).

The official Twitter Account of the party has made the statement after the remarks from the former Vice President and Tourism Minister, Ahmed Adeeb Abdul Gafoor at court after he pleaded guilty to all charges against him in connection to the MMPRC Corruption Scandal.

At his hearing yesterday, Adeeb said that every political party gained a benefit from the MMPRC Corruption and the stolen money was used at the most recent Parliament Election.

Adaalath Party said that they have been condemning the corruption during the Presidency of Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom from day-one and the party was the first to raise the issue of corruption of the former Vice President.

Adaalath Party assured its members and the Maldivian people that they had not gained any benefit from the money or goods from the corruption.

The party, who was part of the previous government coalition and the current government coalition called to bring everyone involved in the MMPRC corruption to justice and release the details of the transactions.
