Inclement weather impacting Gdh. Thinadhoo brings in torrential rainfall and heavy flooding that is said to have damaged 50 or so homes.

The Councillor of G dh. Thinadhoo, Ms. Mariyam Nareeman Shareef informed One Online that the council had visited homes impacted by the rainfall and that the residences had suffered various damages.

The Councillor said "The rainfall this time is heavier than previous times and it is because of this that several homes have sustained damages. This includes damages to household items and various other possessions as well"

Nareeman reiterated that the current work is being done to surround homes that sustained damages with sand. She also highlighted that this work is being carried out with the help of the people of the island.
