An overturned car has been found on Sinamale' Bridge. Passengers are missing.

While Maldives Police Service are active on-scene, One Online photographer Mohamed Auzam reports that passengers who were inside the car have been taken to the hospital.

Media spokesperson to the Maldives Police Service is unreachable for a comment.

According to a source who was on their way to Hulhumale', One Online estimates that the accident took place this morning between 7:30 a.m and 8:00 a.m. The source informed, "I went to Hulhumale' around 7:30 a.m. The car was not on the highway at that time. I returned by around 8:00 a.m. The (overturned) car was on the highway at that time. No one was in the car"

The source reports that around that time, Police were not active on site and that the sound of music was coming very loudly from the overturned car.

As seen from the photographs captured by One Online photographer Mohamed Auzam, the car appears to have been overturned on collision with the railings on the side of the highway.

Auzam reports that the airbag of the car was deployed and that there was no sign of blood on the highway or on the car. He said, "I just arrived from Hulhumale' hospital. There have been no patients admitted to the hospital".

ADK Hospital also reports that there have been no patients who sought treatment following an accident today. One Online has uncovered that a case of RTA (Road Traffic Accident) has been logged into Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital earlier this morning. The 20 year old patient, who was taken into IGMH had several scrapes. It has yet to be confirmed however if this was the same person concerning the accident on Sinamale' Bridge highway.
