A forum discussing taxi fares will be opened to public feedback and is set to be held sometime next week.

It has been announced on the Facebook page of Maldives Transportation Authority that the public forum is to be held by the following Tuesday at Dharubaaruge.

While taxi fares had been previously fixed by the government regarding trips made between Male', Hulhule' and Hulhumale', there was no resounding solution to the issues faced concerning the price. The transportation authority had decided to review taxi fares amidst taxi drivers expressing concern regarding the fixed prices.

The Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation Ms. Aishath Nahula had previously said that a forum will be held to discuss taxi fares.
