Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has opened the opportunity the opportunity to apply for the vacant position on the bench of judges at the Supreme Court.

The position has opened up after the Supreme Court Judge Abdul Ghanee Mohamed was removed from the court by the parliament on 4 December 2019.

An announcement made by the JSC today said that the deadline for the application closes at 12 p.m. on Tuesday. Applicants need to be above the age of 30 to be eligible for the Supreme Court along with at least a degree in Islamic Shariah or seven-year experience as an attorney.
