Bank of Maldives PLC (BML) has opened a Business Center in Male' City.

This is the first Business Center opened by BML in Male'City. The bank has previously opened one in Addu City.

The business Center development at Fasmeeru Building was opened last night by the Minister of Economic Development, Fayyaz Ismail and the Managing Director of BML, Tim Sawyer.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Sawyer said that it is the first Business Center in the country to provide assistance to small and medium businesses.

And so the Center will have relation managers for business that would provide instructions and consultants along with information on loan services from the bank.

Sawyer said that looking at the loan portfolio of the bank, over 800 million in loans were to 1300 business in various sectors through the banking department established last year to provide special services to small and medium businesses.
