An expat worker has been critically injured after falling from the first floor of the new cargo building being developed at Velana International Airport by Beijing Urban Construction Group.
Maldives Police Service said that the incident was reported this morning at 8:20 a.m. this morning. And was immediately given first-aid treatment at the airport.
In reference to the airport medical, police said that the 27-year-old Bangladeshi national sustained internal injuries in the fall.
He has now been taken to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) for further treatment as police continues to investigate further.
