Today’s hearing in the trial of the former President, Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom in the charge of money laundering has gone to recess after scheduling to take testimony from another witness at 2:30 p.m.
After testimony from the former Vice President, Ahmed Adeeb Abdul Gafoor, the Chief Judge presiding, Ahmed Hailam decided that the court would be returning from recess at 2:30 p.m. because the former President Yameen’s defence attorney said that he has a case to represent at the Supreme Court.
So far during the hearing, witness testimonies of two have been collected. These are Former Vice President Ahmed Adeeb and ACC President Muavviz Rasheed.
Third witness to be presented during the hearing is former MMPRC MD, Abdulla Ziyath.
