Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has awarded each employee with an annual bonus of MVR 7,879.79.

A circular issued to the employees by MACL, the company running the main airport, Velana International Airport, said that annual bonus from last year is set to be given equally to every employee.

And so, every employee that worked last year will be receiving MVR 7,879.79. And the amount was transferred to the employees before the Eid Holidays.

The company said that the bonus was also given to employees who left work last year after working six months or more based on the duration of their employment last year.

However, the employees who were terminated due to disciplinary reasons would not receive the annual bonus.

MACL is the one of the most profitable state-owned companies. In the past, annual bonuses to the employees were their monthly salary.
