An inmate who escaped from the Asseyri Jail in Kaafu Atoll Hinmafushi has been found and brought back to jail.

Maldives Police Service said that an inmate escape was reported to the Hinmafushi Police Statation last night around 10:08 p.m.

And the escaped inmate was found by the search efforts of the Correctional Officers around 10:13 p.m. and returned to the jail.

Police said that the escaped inmate was found by the officers of the Correctional Service conducting the search.
