Bank of Maldives (BML) will introduce a monthly limit of USD 3,500 on cash withdrawals from its US dollar ATMs from 1 October 2026. The existing daily limit of USD 1,600 per card will remain unchanged.

The new cap will apply to the total amount each customer can withdraw from BML’s US dollar ATMs in a month.

BML said the measure supports its shift towards digital banking and reducing reliance on cash. Customers can use the Bank’s mobile and internet banking services, card and contactless payments, and instant account transfers for everyday transactions.
