Mohamed Alabbar, Chairman of Eagle Hills, has stated that it is a great honor for his company to be entrusted with the largest project being undertaken in the Maldives, and that they will work in accordance with the expectations of the Maldivian people.
Under the massive USD 20 billion project to be implemented by UAE's Eagle Hills in Rasmalé, plans have been finalized to develop a modern marina and a world-class waterfront city. The agreement between the Maldivian government and Eagle Hills was signed last Monday in Abu Dhabi.
In a message shared on Instagram along with an AI-generated video regarding the project, Alabbar stated that securing the contract to execute this project is a privilege for his company.
"With the largest investment in history, the Maldivian people trust us. This is an honor for us. God willing, we will work in accordance with their expectations," Alabbar said.
Alabbar outlined his vision for Rasmalé once the project is completed, stating that it will be developed as a fully self-sustained living environment equipped with all necessary services and facilities, where individuals can comfortably stay for a week or even a month. He added that the destination will feature pristine beaches, restaurants, hotels, sports complexes, and dedicated children's areas.
He further stated that acquiring property within the development will yield some of the best financial returns available globally for such ventures.
