The President of the Dhaalu Maaemboodhoo Island Council, Ahmed Fikuree has resigned from the position.
Sources have told One Online that Fikuree resigned yesterday.
Repeated attempts to contact him for a comment on the resignation have been unsuccessful as he is not responding to texts and calls.
One Online has learned that Fikuree resigned after claiming that there isn’t a good atmosphere to fulfill his responsibilities and want to give the chance for other members on the council the chance to be the president.
Following the resignation, the head of the Maaemboodhoo Council is the Vice President, Hilmee Abdulla Khaleel. The other member on the Council is Ibrahim Siraj.
