Defending champions Thimarafushi and Kinbidhoo have secured their place in the semi-final for Th. Atoll group in the HD Hyundai and Golden Futsal Challenge 2026.
Eight teams from Thaa Atoll are competing in two groups. In Group A, Thimarafushi recorded their second win with a 2–1 victory over Hirilandhoo. Adam Nasih opened the scoring, while Ahmed Aflaaz added a second goal in the second half. Mohamed Shamhan scored for Hirilandhoo, but the team was unable to find an equalizer.
In another Group A match, Omadhoo and Vandhoo played to a 1–1 draw. Ahmed Shabeen scored for Vandhoo, while Mohamed Unesh found the net for Omadhoo. With these results, the group remains closely contested.
In the other group, Kinbidhoo continued their strong performance with a 6–2 win over Buruni. Adam Farhan and Mohamed Shafiu each scored twice for Kinbidhoo. Buruni’s Mohamed Nahil and Mohamed Sham conceded two own goals, while Nahil and Hussain Mamdhooh Ahmed scored for the team.
The other match in the group ended in a 1–1 draw between Gaadhiffushi and Vilufushi. Hussain Zahir scored for Gaadhiffushi, and Moosa Fathi netted for Vilufushi.
With one match remaining for each team, the competition in both groups remains open. Matches in the atoll round of the HD Hyundai and Golden Futsal Challenge will continue tonight. One Sports is the official media partner of this year’s tournament.
