In the ongoing atoll rounds of the HD Hyundai Golden Futsal Challenge 2026—the nation's largest and most prestigious futsal tournament—Kanduhulhudhoo and Devvadhoo secured wins in the Gaafu Alif (GA) Atoll category, while Mathiveri triumphed in the Alif Alif (AA) Atoll opener.

Seven teams are competing in the GA Atoll round this year, split into two groups. In a Group B encounter, Devvadhoo defeated Villingili with a 2-1 scoreline. Despite missing several key players currently with the national team and playing without their captain, Ahnaf Rasheed, Devvadhoo managed to secure the win with goals from Vishah Abdul Majeed and Nasooh Saeed.

In GA Atoll's Group A, Kanduhulhudhoo delivered a dominant performance last night, defeating Kolamaafushi 7-0. Ahnaf Zahir was the star of the match, netting four goals, while Ahmed Jawad, Fazleen Mohamed, and Ismail Anwar added one goal each to complete the rout. In the same group, the match between Dhaandhoo and Gemanafushi ended in a 2-2 draw. Ahmed Ziyad and Arusham Saeed scored for Dhaandhoo, while Hussain Thaim and Ali Shaz Habeeb found the back of the net for Gemanafushi.

The Alif Alif (AA) Atoll round also commenced last night with five teams competing. In the opening match, Mathiveri secured a 2-0 victory over Himandhoo, thanks to goals from Mohamed Shafraz and Haisham Ali.
