Sony Sports, LACNOR, and Ooredoo Maldives have signed as Platinum Partners for the Hyundai Golden Futsal Challenge 2026. The agreements were signed at special ceremonies attended by officials from the Golden Futsal Association and partner companies.
The Golden Futsal Challenge, the largest and most prestigious futsal tournament in the Maldives, is set to begin tomorrow with a Charity Shield match between 2024 champions Eydhafushi and this year’s champions Kaashidhoo. Atoll-level matches will begin on Sunday night. A total of 119 teams will compete in the tournament, with more than 280 matches scheduled.
Sony Sports, one of the longest-standing partners of the tournament, has supported the Golden Futsal Challenge since its inception and has previously served as a title sponsor, playing a key role in the competition’s growth. Ooredoo Maldives and LACNOR, represented locally by MU Store, also formalised their partnerships during the signing events.
Since its launch in 2015, the Golden Futsal Challenge has grown into the biggest sporting event in the Maldives. The sponsoring companies expressed satisfaction in being part of the tournament. One Sports has been named the official media partner and has supported the event for the past four years.
