Adhaalath Party has decided to submit a revision to the parliament sitting order, which will allow the general public to submit Bills.

Speaking during a Press Conference, Member of their legal team Ahmed Shiyaz said that he believes that the general public should also be allowed to submit Bills to the parliament.

Hence, a total of 20 regulations are to be revised, according to the submission of AP. Shiyaz further added that the parliament should be a place to bring a solution and listen to the concerns of the public. He expressed his belief that such a revision to the standing order would be a great way to address those concerns.

Shiyaz also noted that the three month recess that are given to MPs throughout the year will be suggested to

be shortened to two. Other revisions suggested by Adhaalath will include providing live feed of parliament sittings to all broadcast medias and increasing debate times allotted to MPs.

Even though Adhaalath is set to submit revisions to the parliament, the party does not have a sitting MP representing the party in the parliament.
