Minister of Arts, Heritage and Culture, Yumna Maumoon has said that changes need to be brought on how new words are formed in the Dhivehi Language.

Yumna's statement was in regards to how new Dhivehi words have been used in the name boards around Dharumavantha Hospital.

The Minister noted that it was rather important to make sure that new words are easy to pronounce, and added that they should consider public opinion as well.

Dhivehibahuge Academy has said that the works were done by a committee of the academy upon a request by Dharumavantha Hospital.

The Academy noted that these words were formed with the suggestions of language experts, keeping in mind how others in the field work as well.
